Henriksson Storage was founded in 2025 with the vision of modernising the European self-storage industry. Since the beginning, we have acquired and now operate 25 sites across Sweden and the UK and have proved that self-storage can be built differently. It can be more flexible, faster and closer to how people actually live and move. Germany is the next step on our agenda: a market roughly ten times the size of Sweden, and a key step on our journey to becoming one of the leading self-storage operators in Europe.
We are now looking for a Site Acquisition Lead to help us grow the German market and build the playbook for how to find and acquire new sites.
Role description
- Scout, evaluate, and prioritize potential sites across the German market
- Develop a working network of brokers, landowners, developers, and local intermediaries with the goal of accessing opportunities before they're publicly listed
- Build proprietary intelligence on local land and commercial property pricing dynamics
- Lead negotiations on acquisition terms, balancing pace of expansion against commercial discipline
- Navigate German zoning, permitting, and municipal approval processes, working with legal counsels and local authorities
- Own the site pipeline end-to-end — from first scouting to signed deal — in close coordination with the rest of the team
Role requirements
- A background in commercial real estate acquisition, site selection, or land development within logistics, retail, or another site-intensive sector is beneficial but not necessary
- Necessary is instead a hunter's instinct, being relentless, exhibiting a never-give-up attitude, being proactive by default, comfortable cold-approaching landowners and brokers
- Strong negotiation skills and comfort operating without an established local playbook
- Familiar with German planning and permitting processes
- Fluent in German and professional English
- An entrepreneurial, "first person on the ground" mindset, paired with the stamina to keep pushing deals through long sourcing and permitting cycles without losing momentum
- Willingness to be based in Germany, preferably Berlin, München or Frankfurt area, and travel regularly across target regions
